Advice for Residential Treatment Center Website Designers

The best anxiety treatment centers can completely change the life of one who seeks help there. When an internet user visits a website about this subject, they should get the same impression – that their life can be impacted greatly by seeking professional help for mental health disorders, substance abuse or other issues.

Demonstrating Care through Design Choices

The pictures, icons, colors and overall layout of the site should demonstrate care. There should be images of nature, people, staffing, and the facility itself. You can also use other stock images that will create a feeling of warmth. Some stock photos can be used to exude a sense of concern or stress while others can show activities and environments that will relieve that stress.

While a sense of professionalism is important, it is also equally crucial not to allow the design to give off a cold or sterile tone. Color selections should evoke a clean, yet comforting vibe. Stay away from dark shades like blacks or dark blues and also avoid drab tones like greys.

A video clip can be a very effective selling tool. Embed this visibly in a small to medium sized box on pages where it is appropriate. The video may explain the benefits of residential treatment and should show photos of the treatment center(s) being promoted. Images of nature and humanity may also be included. Be sure to have professional voiceover and music, with a message that touts the benefits of treatment.

Navigation Layout

The navigation of the site should have clear options for the visitor. Residential treatment center website designers must not only include basics like a home page, about us, contact us pages, but also other pages that increase interest and desire. Those include information pages about what is offered, resource pages to help those who suffer from related conditions, treatment options pages, photos and descriptions of the premises.

Make sure that the navigation is easy to see and operate. Remember that the visitors to the website are most likely enduring a good deal of emotional pain, trauma and confusion. A confusing site could make things worse or turn them away entirely. The site can be beautiful, but do not allow an overabundance of aesthetics become a hindrance to usability.

Copywriting

A good copywriting staff should be employed to ensure that the wording of the site expresses compassion and provides a strong call to action. The two primary goals of the text should be: (1) to show the potential client that they are valued and understood; and (2) to readily show that a solution is close by – a solution that really works for reasons that are plainly cited.

Proper grammar and spelling are not the only qualities to look for in your copywriter. The professional should also have experience writing on topics that pertain to interpersonal skills, therapy, and related topics. It is crucial that a residential treatment website does not come across as being clinical or sterile, as could be the case for some writers whose background experience does not lend itself to this category of copy.
